I went to Inverness a while ago, and even with that short northward leap, there was a noticeable difference in day-lengths. I guess because this close to the arctic circle, the curve is pretty steep. Although Harry is from even farther north, Orkney, and says that the difference between here and there is 'noticeable, but not major'. Maybe I just notice more because I'm from a place with less than 6 hours' difference between summer days and winter ones.
