Is all that we see or seem

But a dream within a dream?

Missing out on the fun because you are working is always disappointing. But at least you can say, 'I was working; I was doing something productive'. The worst thing is when you miss out on the fun because you intend to work, but actually just faff about doing nothing at all productive.

Last night I meant to do some reading and get a start on one of my essays. Instead I just messed around online until I realised I was being silly and went in search of people. I found people, but they were all already drunk and on their way out. Being quite sober and not at all dressed to go out, I didn't join them. It turned out alright, though, I ended up chatting with two other Wardlaw girls until nearly 1 am.

Today I actually did start some of my reading after lunch, but I fell asleep over my book and slept all afternoon. I had very strange dreams, too: the sort that are all nested inside each other, you wake up from one, but then when you wake up from waking up, you find that you were still asleep and actually dreamt the whole thing.

So in the interest of stopping the not-working cycle, I'm off for a second attempt to decipher Leviathan. Wish me luck!

...obviously not working. Watching Daily Show clips online and doing this quiz thing:

just like all the others )
